Dinner guests

We had Brent, Megan and Caitlin over this evening for an impromptu dinner and it was very pleasant.

Caitlin seems to be doing ok - though she had a seizure this morning - and was looking well. She will have to re-learn walking but seemed to be fairly steady when standing. Molly of course loved it, and I think both Clare and Megan appreciated me and Brent doing a bit of "bonding" over a beer. Brent comes from up north and is as alone here as I am really - his parents make rare trips down but none of his friends seem to (to my knowledge).

To be fair, Brent and I have tried with each other before, but we just haven't seemed to click - making half-remembered promises to catch-up or work out together (Brent is into body building too). But the recent problems with Caitlin have forced us together and talking, it's always easier guy-to-guy; and we are mustering the beginnings of a relationship.

We are going to get together on Saturday to take the kids to the Christmas parade, then we'll try and go fishing - it's not something I've ever done and I've always wondered about it.
