WALKING FOR BREAST CANCER

Hello All, this is a special request from our good friend Alice Weir. She is a very inspired and giving person who is walking 60 km for The Aviva Weekend to Breakthrough Breast Cancer. She needs to raise 1500 pounds by Septemeber to be able to do it, personally they would need to pay me to walk that far!!!!
You can donate as much as you want to www.breakthroughweekend.org
or visit her personal page http://lo06.breakthroughweekend.org/site/TR?px=1418005&fl=en_GB&s_tafId=26220&pg=personal&fr_id=1020
Molly and Aloise have donated some of their pocket money as they have seen this to be a very worthy cause! We are very proud of her indeed and if we could be there to cheer her on we would!(Sorry a bit far to travel!!)
Cheers
Clare ( i seem to be getting rather good at this blogging thing!)

I've been *really* busy!!!

We're having work done on the house, Aloise and Molly are taking up a great deal of my time, my computer was playing up, I'm looking at possibly beginning a new career, my dog ate my homework...

All excuses with varying degrees of truth - the reality is that I've built up a stockpile of photos from new family members (Aloise, Jessica and Luke), Desirees wedding and various home situations and I really don't know where to start!

I figure the best way to actually get something up on here is to just post the photos without the commentary - so here goes...

Lazy Paul

Well I guess its up to me to write a wee paragraph or two! Since Paul has decided that hangovers last several weeks!
Here is my update:
My lovely Desiree and Willy go married on Saturday the 14th of January. It was beautiful, i will get Paul to put pictures up of how magnificent the pair looked because i am not sure that i am doing this part right yet! I had to do a reading be a witness and cue up the music for the exit from the church, i was very important! I even used my special speech and drama voice, not that it helped my knees from shaking!
I had an absolute blast and so did Paul who had decided in his drunkened state that one of Des's best friends was hitting on him, he was full of bravado and then ran away like a little girl, i of course was sober and thought it was hilarious!

I made the cake, after a lot of tears and self flagelation it looked OK! Alittle bit on a slant but still OK!! The cake tasted good which was the main thing!
I have to start Alice Hook's cake soon as she is getting married on the 1st of April! Then Phil and Kristies is the following week!!! SO many outfits to buy so little time!

I have been shortlisted for a job at UCOL in PAlmerston North i am very excited about it, my interview is on Wednesday the 25th so fingers crossed! IT is a job i would really like to do, its the Catering Lecturers Assistant, basically i would be the organiser of their lessons etc. Just like a cooking show!
I have noticed that i like to use exclaimation marks alot, i apologise its my youthful exhubrance shining through. I have just turned 29 and am not impressed. AT ALL.
I have been spenmding heaps of time at mum and dads while the building work has been going on, my excuse is the dust etc isn't good for the kiddies, the truth is i hate the mess!
I have finally caught up with my pregnant workmate buddy Kelly who lives down the road and around the corner she had her daughter on the wednesday before Aloise was born and left hospital on the day we were there!
She was late and we were early. We are catching up on Tuesday we both apologised profuslely foe being slackarses. Paul is always telling what a crap friend i am, its true i am and i apologise but soemtimes life just takes over and you keep leaving things longer and longer until you feel totally embarassed that it has been so long!
SO if you are reading this and nodding saying yes Clare you are crap please know that i have accepted that this is my character flaw and don't take offence to my laziness.
We are going to catch up on Tuesday. Now i just have ring all of the Osmans my friend Sheree and do those thankyou cards i have sitting on my shelf- buit there is an excuse there too, i have to find a nice photo to put in the card as i am making them myself..... I have just had the pixie photo done and it comes back on Friday.
Well thats my lot fingers crossed for Wednesday. the kids say hi well ALoise just gurgles and cries so i guess thats a good enough greeting. She smiles a lot too.
Molly is a horror but more on that another day!
Love to you all

Small update

It's busy, busy, busy here - we're getting work done to the house (at last!) and have been having workmen coming and going all the time.

The weather is extremely hot, and Clare has taken the girls to a friends swimming pool (Linda's next door neighbour) which has given me the time to write this. A friend of mine is a really good builder (awards and so forth) and he's agreed to do our gibbing for us in his spare time.

Normally you'd expect that to mean whenever he can fit it in - but the guy is a workaholic and we can't get him away from the place! I've been ripping down the scrim as fast as I can so he can get going as soon as he gets here. (Scrim is a thread webbing over plain wooden boards - very old).

We had the electrician (another friend of the family) round on Sunday and it turns out the house has been re-wired!! So for us to put in all the new switches and do just a small bit of re-wiring in the kitchen will only cost $1000!! All seems to be going well - and I'm so excited about what our lovely home is going to look like when it's finished (dziekuje Dziadek - pozostawac w pokoju!).

Carpet people are coming for a quote on Thursday and then it's just a matter of juggling everything so that the stages fall into place at the right time - sparks then brickie then whatever nickname carpetlayers have.

It's Desirees wedding on Saturday - something Clare and I are both looking forward to. Last Saturday, Clare went to the hens do and had a blast - though because she's still expressing milk for Aloise she couldn't drink and had to be sober driver for the night. She rolled in at 4am exhausted, and of course Aloise chose that moment to wake up. I tried to help out but when Aloise wants attention, there's no way of keeping her quiet!

Now it's time for the moment you've all been waiting for - yes it's audience participation time!! I put photos of my immediate family on this site - but I'd like there to be more! Can you guys all send me pictures that you want put onto the site, be that friends, families or even *gasp* new babies! (Hint - especially babies that I haven't met yet). Just as you guys look at the site and gush - so do we with the pics of all of you. Molly especially likes looking at it and telling us who all of the people on it are (thought she hasn't a clue who 'baby' Molly is...).

No other news just yet - but keep watching - I suspect there may be something in the next few days...
