Christmas Parade
It's weird - I remember last years Christmas parade with Molly like yesterday - it is definately a year that has flown by.
The Bulls Christmas parade is next week - so this week we went to the Palmerston North one. I clearly remember the Chatham one from my youth, and this would be about the same size I guess. The difference is that this was held around the town square and in 80 degree heat without fear of being mugged or abused.
Molly absolutely loved it, but even though Clare and I were tag-teaming who carried her; we were as knackered as Molly by the end. Molly was ecstatic at seeing Shrek - her favourite and wouldn't shut up about Father Christmas. He was the last in a parade that lasted about an hour and because there were so many people, when we walked back to the car we were following Santa Claus so Molly would keep trying to get the poor old buggers attention.
It was really hot, and Clare thought for one horrible moment that her waters had broken - it turned out to be sweat from standing in the same place for too long. HA!
I was on good form, taking the mickey out of some of the stands, and the crowd next to us were laughing at my (often crude) jokes...
Afterwards, Clare needed a mad dash to the toilet (she is pregnant after all) so I weighed myself - I am 97.8kg (down from 102) and 1.87m tall. Don't know what either of those mean but I am apparently heavily built and my body mass index should be between 20 and 25. I am 28 which means I'm 15% over. Or 15% fat to put it another way.
